Ultimate HGH

Ultimate HGH - Is there one?

There are Three Types of HGH

  • Injected/Molecular HGH
  • Secretogogues
  • Homeopathy

Is there an Ultimate HGH? The answer is yes. If you look at the 3 different types of HGH the ulitmate HGH is the HGH that is right for you!

What kind of person are you?

What is you level of activity?

Do you want to see fast results.

How much are you willing to spend?

The following is a short review of each type of HGH along with preferred recommendation.

1st - Injected/Molecular HGH

The FDA considers Injected HGH a drug and therefore requires a doctor's supervision and prescription.

Injected HGH (which is an 'exogenous hormone') is considered a direct hormonal replacement therapy. You are not supplementing or augmenting your natural cyclical production of growth hormone, you are replacing it.

No matter how carefully a exogenous hormone is administered, it cannot precisely mimicthe subtleties of the body's natural hormonal cycles. In the case of growth hormones--when you exceed the body's natural hormonal levels, you can upset your entire endocrine system, with potentially serious consequences.

Dr. Daniel Rudman, in his original 1998 study, used very high doses of human growth hormone with subsequent serious side effects. In 1994 Dr. Chein and Dr. Terry lowered the doses significantly and administered them much more frequently, theoretically reducing the side effects.

More than half of Dr. Rudman's subjects dropped out of the experiment within a year due to side effects. Carpel tunnel syndrome, fluid retention, high blood pressure, joint pain, hyperglycemia, and pancreatitis are some of the side effects associated with injected growth hormone.

Dr. Rudman was administering 16 units of human growth hormone per week! That is approximately four times the amount needed to achieve substantial improvement in the average 65 year-old.

The opposite approach is to give physiological doses, or amounts any healthy human body would normally produce for itself.

Even at physiological doses (4 units per week) there are several side effects that occasionally occur:

  • edema (water retention)
  • carpel tunnel syndrome
  • hypertension
  • increased blood glucose levels

Recent studies show that the HGH dose needed to produce optimum benefits is between 1 and 2 units each day, depending on body size. One to 1½ units daily seems to be the most effective dose, although significant benefits do occur with as little as 4 units weekly. Side effects are mild and transient at those doses, and diminish with continued therapy.

Studies in which significant side effects were reported used more than 2 units daily, and sometimes as much as 15 units daily, which is a serious overdose.

Most recent thinking is that one unit of HGH daily at bedtime is an effective dose with a minimal chance of side effects. This dosage is close to the same amount produced by a youthful pituitary gland. A dose of 1½ unit is also safe and increases benefit somewhat. Two units daily is recommended only for large people.

The question still remains; how does the body respond to artificial replacement of growth hormone? Because of these unanswered questions and the potential for tremendous risk, alternative HGH therapies have been vigorously investigation.

2nd Type - Secretogogues

This category of HGH products uses amino acids as "Secretogogues," which stimulate pituitary gland production of HGH. Other proprietary agents (nutrients) are usually part of the powder/tablet mix and give each product a presumed marketing advantage. Studies show certain amino acids, such as and L-arginine, can stimulate pituitary HGH.

Secretogogues formulations may utilize several different compounds of:

  • Amino acids
  • Nutrients

Secretogogues are designed to create specific metabolic pathways which work in tandem to prompt a pulse release of HGH from the pituitary gland, while simultaneously inhibiting those compounds which block HGH.

Using compounds together in formula form appear to effectively raise HGH levels. Oral supplementation of these key compounds appears to release HGH by working with muscle physiology, neutralizing other glandular signals which inhibit the release of HGH, enhancing protein response to build muscle, boosting cell replication and fat breakdown, stimulating certain sex hormones which build muscle and enhance stamina and energy, and by targeting specific brain chemicals which are involved in HGH actions.

Secretogogues have been around for quite awhile, particularly in the athletic field, and have been known by the name "stacks." Each product on the market seems to have a different mixture of chemical compounds and nutrients.

Most contain large amounts of amino acids, particularly L-Arginine.

As indicated above, resistance to the Secretogogues compounds and nutrients develops over time. This is called tachyphylaxsis and is the reason athletes cycle (alternate days on, days off) these types of supplementation. Cycling gives the body (receptor sites) time to rest.

You should be aware that many of the molecular secretogogues have carriers and buffers to help absorption, assimilation and facilitatetransport of the amino acids to the brain.

  • Carriers - generally complex glucose peptides which supposedly protect the amino acids from the gastrointestinal acids and helps absorption.
  • Buffers - the stomach is a pretty harsh environment - buffers are used to buffer the stomachacids and further shield the amino acids from being destroyed.

Secretogogues do work, If you supplement with secretogogues be sure to cycle them according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

3rd - Homeopathy - Cell to Cell Communication

Part of the aging process involves a progressive loss of the ability to regulate cell-to-cell signaling within the endocrine system. It is more logical to strengthen cell signaling within the endocrine system rather than try to replace complex hormones.

Instead of using high concentrations of prescription-only hormones or phytoestrogens, homeopathy strives to bring the body into homeostasis gently and steadily.

The body is designed for self-regulatory processes and it makes more sense to focus on healthy aging within the confines of the patient’s own self-regulatory processes.

The best therapy is to use easily accessed, pure, bio-available signals in non-toxic, easy to use oral and homeopathic forms. Homeopathy assures safety and continual support of the body’s natural processes.

Homeopathic potency and preparation:

There are two common types of potency: decimal potency, denoted by an "X" (10), and centesimal potency denoted by a "C" (100). A decimal potency is prepared as follows:

Growth Hormone - 1 part
Base - 9 parts

A base in typically made of purified water, alcohol, glycerin, lactose, or sucrose. Two or more of these ingredients are combined with the growth hormone and succussed, or shaken, up to 100 times. This makes 1X potency or the "New Potency."

Another 1 part of this "New Potency" is then combined with 9 parts of the base mixture and then again succussed up to 100 times. This is a 2X potency. This process of dilution and succussion continues until the desired potency is reached.

A centesimal potency is prepared the same way, except that it is diluted 1 part to 99 parts.

Research shows that homeopathic remedies work similarly to their non-homeopathic injected counterpart but without the side effects.

As a point of reference, the body itself breaks food down to microscopic amounts in order to transport nourishment to the cells. For example, a thyroid hormone can be as small as 50 to 100 millionths of a gram in size. Despite the small size, bodily metabolism is maintained.

Effectiveness of small amounts:

Scientists have finally discovered the homeopathic concept of minute dilutions. "Hormesis" is the term they use to describe small doses of substances that create a beneficial response.

Dr. Joan Smith Soneborn, a cell biologist, states that "Hormesis appears to be a very real phenomenon."

Homeopathic HGH:

Many people report the same results as those taking the molecular (injected) HGH without the potential side effects. This does not mean that homeopathic HGH will substitute exactly for injectable HGH, but it does provide a safe, affordable and effective alternative.

Research and homeopathic literature indicate that the most favorable results with homeopathic's have been with a fairly low potency, like 3X, 2C or 3C.

Interesting facts about homeopathic's:

  • Trevor Cook, Ph.D. states that a magnetic resonance device detected subatomic activity in homeopathic remedies
  • Dr. Emilio de Guidici says, "water molecules form structures capable of storing minute charges of electromagnetic signals."
  • Dr. Wolfgang Ludwig, a German biophysicist, demonstrated that homeopathic substances give off measurable electromagnetic signals

This research appears to indicate:

  1. Homeopathic's demonstrate "energies" and that water molecules have a stable, hexagonal, lattice system, like an invisible honeycomb.
  2. This "honeycomb" can hold homeopathic "energies" and can change the structural shape of the water molecule lattice pattern.
  3. Succussing, or shaking, the homeopathic product seems to "transfer" the properties of the raw material to the water structure.

The pituitary gland excretes HGH at certain times, especially during the first 90 minutes of sleep. The body also times the release of HGH. Molecular HGH must be injected at certain times to try and mimic the HGH pulsing.

Since homeopathic HGH is serially diluted, and potentized at successive levels, it continues to work in the body in a "time-release" manner.
