Materials
and Methods: 21 healthy adult subjects
with known growth hormone deficiencies of both
sexes between the ages of 45 and 86 years
were studied. Subjects were randomly assigned
to one of three different groups.
At
the beginning of the study, a clinical history
of all patients was performed and blood samples
were taken for blood chemistry studies which included:
blood glucose, urea, creatinine and uric acid;
lipids profile: total cholesterol, cholesterol
HDL, cholesterol LDL, and triglycerides.
